368 Effects of Rumen Fermentation Parameters and Microbiota of Sanhe Heifers from Different Altitude Regions

Abstract The rumen microbiome has an important role in providing nutrition to ruminants, which is linked feed efficiency and environmental adaptability of ruminants. However, there no report about the influence different altitude regions on fermentation parameters microbiota Sanhe cattles. In this study, 20 ruminal fluid samples heifers were collected from Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (119°57 'E, 47°17' N; 700 m altitude, LAL) Lhasa Tibet (91°06'E, 29°36'N; 3 750 HAL), analyzed by gas chromatography high-throughput sequencing determine 16SrRNA gene. results showed that acetic acid/propionic acid high-altitude group was significantly reduced (P < 0.01), but significant differences other volatile fatty acids, pH, ammonia nitrogen > 0.05). composition bacteria at phylum level, high relative abundance Actinomycetes 0.05), increased Spirillum had effect Bacteroides, Firmicutes At genus Rikenellaceae_RC9_gut Ruminococcaceae_UCG-010 0.05); Ruminococcus_1 Olsenella Pseudobutyrivibrio 0.05) decreased significantly. Ruminococcaceae_NK4A214 Ruminococcus_2 have a downward trend (0.05 ≤ P 0.10). study revealed influenced function rumen, can provide some new insights mechanism adapting theoretical basis for nutritional regulation cattle areas.
